Early in my career, I witnessed the essence of philanthropy—in word, act, and deed. I’ve since dedicated myself to this pursuit. When I left Wall Street, I laid a course to become an expert facilitator of Philanthropy and trusted partner in managing and stewarding resources provided to meet the missions I would serve. My career strategy? I would study philanthropic tools, methods, and history while building organizations across small, medium and large in scale having mission scope, local, regional, national and international.
Fundraising is organized, deliberate and mission driven work. Counter to many in the profession, I view the skill sets and methodologies of high caliber development work as absolutely transferable to most any mission as long as one has passion and curiosity for the mission.
While passion and curiosity may enable excellent fundraising, the skills required for building a culture of Philanthropy at an organization are learned through experience. My career thus far, in fact proves this.
My track record? —I’ve raised over $350 million- never missing a revenue goal. I’ve coached impactful teams and facilitated conversations with high-net-worth individuals that have changed the course of many organizations for the better.
Numbers, not words tell the narrative of how an organization operates. Who, what, where, when, and why a group of dedicated individuals have joined together to advance a mission reflecting values, vision and unique identity is the narrative of words meant to inform and inspire.
I am expert at creating and communicating both.
Philanthropy is the way by which I help missions move closer to accomplishments, and people on a mission to create a more just and equitable world.
THE POWER OF EVERYONE
"Everyone creates your brand so it follows everyone should be afforded the opportunity to understand their brand contribution and be encouraged to preserve, strengthen
and increase it."
Building the narratives that capture hearts and minds opening the doors of an organization for inquiry and investment is a perpetual invitation. We can only serve if allowed to do so. Leadership is not telling, it is listening and successful growth happens when what is heard is understood and acted upon.
This is true for people and organizations.
I am expert at pulling clarity out of the clamor and team leading professionals to build mission advancing strategies achieving program goals from sources that understand and are seeking the outcomes delivered.
Mavericks, Adaptors, Reinventors or Adventurers? A mix is probable. For as many archetypes associated with innovation there are more supported models. Two important things to know 1- all models for innovation are moving toward transparency with a more inclusive process. 2-Any team I coach will be using the model that will provide the most impact across the entire organization.
Today, change is a state of being.
For many, if you can't scale you fail.
And you can't scale if your strategies and tactics aren't designed and organized to run efficiently and grow organically while leveraging as much of the organization as possible so all ships rise with the changing tide.
Successfully executing innovative strategies that surpass goals and solve challenges is my standard of operation.
